Salford have lost more games to Championship opposition this season than Leigh have

Never expected London to get near them let alone beat them





Salford seem to be in free fall - likely away in MPG now, and I fear for them if they go down. Looks more and more likely MK isn't going to hang around

After the Broncos' late rally against us and the tonking that they handed out the following week, I always thought that Smeagol would have another part to play in this tale.
Following today's results there'll be no MPG at the LSV. Salford should still qualify as both they and Bronx are favourites to win next week but the Eccles Kaks have an insurmountable points difference advantage. Still, let's wait and see.

Batley away is no fun for Salford, as we know only too well - if they are not up for that game they could well slip up

Yup Nozzy and Leythig, both Salford and KR have lost to more Championship teams than Leythe this season but the criterion conveniently avoids any mention of Toulouse. Well done to Rochdale again.

This little stat would not be affected by admitting that we contrived to lose to Toulouse but, during the LSV party yesterday Foster & Tonga became try scorers 33 & 34 for Leigh's 29 League games thus far this season.

Some of those players are long gone, some long announced going and some others may yet go, but that's still quite something, surely a Leythe record and testament to Jukes' adaptability.

To the agitators in the exodus I say, in the words of the late, great Frank Muir "Tinketty-Tonk" and I mean it to sting!

I mentioned it once but I think I got away with it

Leigh and Salford derbies have always provided a ton of drama and entertainment in my experience, it will be disappointing if they get relegated. All the best for the weekend Salford.

I hope Salford stay up it would mean that 12th place in Super League 2017 is sorted.
