After a pretty even first half Leigh, playing down the slope, with the wind at their backs, cut loose to score 36 unanswered second half points. It looked like Fev gave it their all, in that first half and then had no answer to our second half power and pace.
Moimoi was awesome today, as were all our forwards. Ridyard and Brierley ran the second half show, behind a dominant pack and, as usual, Armstrong and Kay were lethal finishers. For me, the best try was a superb team effort, finished by Platt, who I thought had an excellent game. It's going to be a difficult choice for the centre positions soon! Whilst Worthington has excelled defensively, Platt seems to offer that bit more class, on attack and does his fair share of defensive work.
The returning Tommy Goulden displaced Dixon, to 18th man and he had his usual excellent full 80 minutes.
Well done to the team and coaching staff on an incredible opening five matches - although there are plenty of stern tests to come.
A good following from Leigh in an otherwise disappointing crowd of just 2000+ (which is presumably to be believed, given that it wasn't a 'shared' gate!
