Seemed to be pretty well attended. I hope the organisers raised a good sum for a really deserving cause. I know it brought a tear to my eye to see the young chap on the pitch at half time - I really hope the miracle can be achieved for him.
Thanks to the organisers of the fun day - a cracking job, well done to the Leigh Community Group and their helpers. Apart from my grandkids having a good time, I have three excellent memories:-
- Allan and Andy Mazey, doing a stint in the 'stocks', along with Rob Parker, being soaked with wet sponges. That was very sporting and brave of them. (I hope there were no bricks hidden in the sponges, guys?) In all honestly I can't have seen Trevor and Keith doing that!
- Derek's Formula One simulator parked by the sign saying 'Blue Badge Holders Only'!
- The two donkeys stood waiting for the next customers, beside the GMPT bus stop!
A true fun day, all round!
