| With Massive Heed (Obst) gone, and Ferguson gone, looks like Wakey are shipping out "talent" at an alarming rate. Whilst I completely feel for the WTW club & fans and desperately don't want to see them fold, are there any of there remaining players we'd take a punt on ?
(whilst there might appear to contradictions in the above, they need to ship (sell) players to have ANY hope of surviving)

| The only one I'd look at would be Aaron Murphy. Whilst you can't doubt the class, and professionalism of blokes like Morrison, we have too many suitable youngsters like Addy and Donaldson just outside the starting 13 for an older player to jump in front of them.

| IF (and that's an IF) we don't have anyone lined up or in mind for the quota spot, Morro on a one year deal wouldn't be a disaster.

Agreed.
Other than him, I wouldn't want any of their squad. Aaron Murphy is massively overrated IMO, and the likes of Blaymire, Millard and George wouldn't improve on our current options. The only one I'd even want to consider is maybe Josh Veivers as he's still very young, or the other lad from Wigan (Howarth), but even then I'm going on reputation rather than what I've seen from them myself.
Kevin Penny on the other hand is possibly the most overrated player in the league and is lucky to still be employed by a Super League team. He'd be better off joining a sprint team where you don't have to do anything but run.

| I was impressed with Paul Johnson when we played them in the friendly. He is a very BIG lad, ran hard, but as with a lot of the Wakey team IMO looked to be carrying a bit too much weight. He's young for a prop though and I think very much a work in progress.

Actually yes, I'd forgotten about him. He did look good and looked good in the friendly against us too. Definite potential.
Potter will be in the perfect place to judge though as Johnson was in Saints' academy when Potter was there.

Keiran Hyde. Played Stand Off for them on Saturday. Don't think he's better than what we already have.

| didn't realise Ferguson had gone. Another top signing by Hudds. I thought on Saturday they could almost field an England international back line of the future. Got to feel for Wakey though. Getting set up for a few years in the NL. In answer to the OP - Richard Harris.
