This is one of the 3 games that people are saying is a banker for us but after our dire performances in 3 of the last 4 games, then we need to really perform on Saturday, especially in light of Shudds victory over Wire last week. I'm assuming that Olly Russell won't be able to play against us as it sounds like he had a good game for them last weekend ??
I'm confused (discounting the Salford debacle) our last four games were Huddersfield, Leeds, Saints and Wigan... Assumedly you thought were 'dire' in either the convincing win at Hudds or the one point thriller against Leeds... Which one was it ??

Wrong end of the fixture list.

Was referring to the Hull FC game as well but that was 5 games ago

| Great to see a response after last weeks performance. A poor Huddersfield outfit who never looked like a scoring, and didn't like defending. Matty Russell had a field day as did Harvey Smith celebrating his contract extension with a lovely try. Altogether a great evenings work. The pressure is now on Hull, 6th place is ours to lose.

| Agree, we needed a response after the last couple of games, and we got one, whilst we were under a bit of pressure to produce one. Tbh, leading up to the game, I actually thought the rain was gonna be a real leveller, but alas it didn't turn into an error fest and we played some really attractive RL, with a good level of confidence, which was great to see from the lads.
Right from his first couple of carries, it was really noticeable how hard and fast Matty was running the ball in; he looked like he was 25 again. He really did cause havoc on every return, difficult to handle and knocked the defence backwards every time, really good return from him. Shame he's only played 5 games this season.
Stourton looked back to his best; when he plays at his best, he's so difficult for teams to handle. Cauis was great as well, really aggressive and ran with intent every carry and went over for another excellent try. Mike and Pitts were back to their usual high standard, and Seth looked really sharp as well. Harvey continues to impress, and Rourke came in and had another good game.
I bet TJ's wondering when something's gonna come down his left side of the field when attacking, I can't remember him touching the ball in Hudds half; it also seems ages since he last scored. He does a load of donkey work out of the back field and starts our sets off really well, and before his injury, he was 2nd on the meters made this season, but as far as his finishing ability and open field running, we're just not making the most of him atm imo.
