Deffo offer him a contract for next year

He has done well since he came back into the side. He's a grafter and really puts himself about defensively. He's one of those players who looks great when the side is playing well and on top, but who can quickly look farcical when we're not.

Id also keep him. Worth a contract and good cover for Roby. GOB needs to invest in a scull cap I think.

He's no good and not worth a contract. Makes too many mistakes and is too slow passing from dummy half, an odd good tackle isn't enough to cover for these deficiencies. You can see why he was third choice at Salford.

His defensive game has improved vastly since coming back in the team and he's played well in games against Wigan and Catalan.

He set up Wellens' try very well too.

I don't think he's worth a contract FT but he has done what was required in his loan deal.

I think he was man of the match against the pies, he was very impressive again but not sure I'd offer him a deal as he's been terrible in most other games.

That's my opinion as well. We can't get carried away by two top performances as he's had about 10 shockers previous to that.

Some games I've even questioned him being good enough to play super league but he's been very good the last two weeks.

In fairness to Howarth though you could say the same about almost every player in the Saints team.

As a team we have played from very average to bloody awful for most of the season, with one or two having good games each week. Aside from the home game against Hull KR of course when pretty much everyone was as dire as they could possibly be.

Amazing what fans leaving early and booing the place down can do to a team's performance!

I've nothing at all against him and never fault his work ethic or attitude but I've seen him have some shockers this year, especially in defence.
